The TA needs to go get aligned and balanced, since it has a fairly awful vibration between 55-65 mph and pulls right. I’ve also gotta call all of the apartments I’ve found and set up visits for Thursday.

I drove over to Illinois today to borrow my grandpa’s trailer for the move, and was reminded just how gutless the Triton 5.4 is. On a positive note, I did see this sweet Marauder though.

I also went shopping and bought some shirts and another pair of shoes. I now have many pairs of shoes.

Those white laces are gonna have to go, need some brown or dark blue replacements. I’ve been looking for a modern sofa for the apartment, but haven’t had much luck outside of Ikea, which I’m not too sure about. If anyone has any suggestions I’m open to them.

Go on local Craigslist and look for anybody selling Ekornes furniture. Most of the time its just the chairs, but you could get lucky and have somebody selling a sofa in your area.

DWR’s got some good stuff. I’ve wanted a Shiro Kuramata How High The Moon since I saw one at the Cooper Hewitt in 2000. I think I’m going to try to fabricate my own. It should be an interesting exercise in papercraft (to develop the pattern) and then probably crazy difficult to actually make in metal. However, if I can pull it off it’ll save me thousands.

Not my style but neat nonetheless. DWR just makes me want to fabricate things myself too, there’s a clear point where it goes from quality craftsmanship to “we can charge whatever we want”.

The production articles were made by Vitra. Once they went out of production the prices went through the roof. Really, I’m not so much talking about fabricating my own chair as forging my own copy of a work of art for personal use.

You can still find the miniatures and they’re $500+ for a 1:6 scale model.
